Our Process
STEP-1
Our work process begins with our initial client meeting. This is our time to get acquainted with them and get some ideas on what kind of project they have in mind. We go over their ideas and discuss style, material choices, dimensions and finish.
We then use that information to draw up plans and come up with an estimated cost. When the client(s) are happy with the plans, we head to the sawmill to source the necessary lumber.
Step -2
We always try to purchase the majority of the lumber at one time so that colour and grain matching isn’t an issue. All this lumber is machined in our shop to a specific thickness prior to starting the build process. Our clients are always kept informed of the build process. We always send updated pictures when needed or requested.
Step -3
If a circumstance arises where construction may need to be extended, we let the client know the reason why and what we feel the setback will mean in extra time to complete the project. Our main goal is to create that custom piece and deliver it on time. We only use premium local hardwoods and some exotics and are very conscious of using renewable resources. All of our hardware is premium grade and includes soft close under mount slides as well as concealed cabinet hinges unless the client prefers face mount hinges. We offer several finish options including but not limited to oil-rubbed, polyurethane and painted. We include setup and delivery for local clients and can discuss other options as well.
